More Than 25 Percent of Churchgoers Do Not Plan to Return to In-Person Services Yet 

According to a recent  AP-NORC poll, over 25 percent of people who attended religious services at least once a month prior to the COVID-19 pandemic have no immediate plans to return to their church, synagogue, or mosque


The nationwide poll, which was conducted June 10–14 with 1,125 adults and a margin of error of +/- 4.2 percentage points, found that a majority (73 percent) of people who attended religious services at least monthly before lockdowns plan to attend such services in-person in the next few weeks.

Meanwhile, 34 percent of respondents in general plan to return to attending religious services in person in the coming weeks, but 27 percent do not plan to go back just yet.

​Tribal animists forced more than 50 Christians from three villages to flee their homes and take shelter in the jungles of eastern India last month.

The Christians belong to 13 tribal families of Rayagada District, Odisha state who have been stranded in the jungle without proper shelter, food, water and electricity.

'God Loves You': Good Samaritan Helps Save Man in Mental, Emotional Distress by Reminding Him of God's Love 

After spending nearly seven hours hanging from a sign above an Oklahoma highway, an unidentified man seeking to end his own life changed his mind after a good Samaritan told him, "God loves you."

Rick Jewell, the good Samaritan, told News Channel 8 that his son noticed that the man in distress was coincidentally in the exact location as a giant cross that is illuminated during the holidays.

Florida Gov. Signs Bill Requiring Moment of Silence in Schools: You Can't 'Be Successful' without God 

​On Monday, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law requiring public school classrooms to hold a one-minute moment of silence at the beginning of each day to give students an opportunity for "quiet reflection."

The bill, HB 529, requires teachers in first-period classes in all grades to reserve at least one minute (but not more than two minutes) "during which students may not interfere with other students' participation." The new law says teachers may not make suggestions for the moment of silence. It also encourages parents or guardians to discuss, with their children, the "best use of this time." The word "prayer" is not in the new law, although the text of the law allows prayer.
